Summer Concert Series Swings to a Finale
Despite a few weather cancelations, this year’s Summer Concert Series in Cherry Hill Park, hosted by VPIS and the Parks and Recreation Department was a great success, with fantastic performances by the City of Falls Church Concert Band, Avenue 66 and Sirsy all drawing sizable crowds. The Andrew Acosta String Band closed out the season on August 13
This season provided new attractions—food offerings from The Cheese Cartel and sweet treats from Ice Cream Jubilee. Alcohol was also permitted for the first time in the large cordoned off area in front of the stage. A big thank you to all audience members for helping everything go so smoothly.
