Annual Independence Day Readings

Annual Independence Day Remembrance 2023 – Free – All Welcomed

VPIS has sponsored and organized a reading of our founding documents since 1984 on the fourth of July. This year we will be holding the remembrance on Tuesday July 4th, at 12 noon, in The Falls Church Episcopal – historic chapel, Falls Church, VA. (115 East Fairfax, City of Falls Church, VA 22046.)

It will last about one hour.  Please join us.

Typically citizens take turns reading these documents:

Fairfax Resolves

Virginia Declaration of Rights

Bill of Rights

Declaration of Independence

Emancipation Proclamation

Pledge of Allegiance

Emancipation Proclamation

13th, 14th, 15th, and 19th amendments to the United Stated Constitution
