Annual Independence Day Readings
VPIS has sponsored and organized a reading of our founding documents for over 35 years on the fourth of July. This year we will be holding the readings on the fourth of July, at 12 noon, in the City Chambers at City Hall 300 Park Ave, Falls Church, VA.
It will last about one hour. Please join us.
Typically citizens take turns reading these documents:
Fairfax Resolves
Virginia Declaration of Rights
Bill of Rights
Declaration of Independence
Emancipation Proclamation
Pledge of Allegiance
Emancipation Proclamation
13th, 14th, 15th, and 19th amendments to the United Stated Constitution
